Raijor
Any experienced Franken makers have an opinion on using a Tudor Date 34mm as a base to make a Rolex Oysterdate. Is this simply a dial and caseback mod or does it require more work. It seems to me to be a logical mod but I do not know about parts excahng. Would appreciate thoughts. vmena
Yes... a Tudor 34 mm. oyster case may be perfect... but check if the back of the case has engraved tudor somewhere...
Raijor
Thanks Vmena - The Tudor caseback is engraved usually. I think I am going to go the Tudor route for a base for my next Franken.

the playful eyes
Vnema, Let me know when you get a spacer for your next franken project. I'd like to have one for the 2824-2 movement using the 16233 case. Thanks! Good luck... I'm going to build a daejust franken again...
Dizzy
I have one of these Tudor dates. Its been re-dialed to a Rolex MOP Datejust. GEN movmt. Turns out nice except that its noticably smaller than a datejust and thats the look i was going for.. oh well.. i guess thats not really what you are doing anyways haha. Buy a good complete older GEN with the rolex crown and bracelet and redial it. easy Its a pretty small watch and on a 19mm oyster.
