What size Date magnification should a GMT II have?

Mine has a GOOD 2.5x but it also has a GREAT crown at the 6:00. Should I trade it for crystal with 2x mag but NO crown etched (I already have this in hand)

This gets to be an historical question, maybe. A 2.5 mag w/ no etched crown at 6 would be cool, but I don't know if correct mag for an older GMTII is 2.5 or 2.0. There is so much misinformation out there, it's hard to tell what the truth is. But as a sport model, 2.5 mag is cool and maybe just ignore the etched crown- which could be correct for a later model, post 2004. I guess I'd stick w/ the 2.5.
