bbell6
I hadn't worn my genuine 16610 in about a week and it stopped. When I tried to set it, the hands started slipping and could feel and hear the a clicking noise as I turned the crown. I pushed the crown in and pulled it out and tried again. I finally got it set but only after repeating this process a few times. It winds and runs fine. I suppose I need to get it serviced, just wondering if anyone has ever had this experience. I posted this question on Time Zone and was told that it might just be the keyless works being a bit balky. I followed the suggestions and pulled the crown out with a bit more force and tried again. After the hands moved a little, it started slipping again. Any thoughts?
freddy333
Ziggy's the master blaster here, but it sounds like either a problem with the keyless works (maybe a bent clutch lever (this governs the stem's movement from mainspring winding to hand-setting)) or a duff mainspring. In either case, you should have it checked.
