How come the thermometer always reads 98.6 ???

I like it. I wonder how accurate it is. My Nike Altimeter watch has a thermometer and barometer function. The barometer tracks reasonably well while the thermometer needs to be set against your skin temperature, always reads a few degrees high. The altimeter has proven to be pretty accurate.
