Watchmeister Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 I am strangely drawn to this one. Please show the back whenever you get a chance. Did you tell Ziggy - "Destroy it."
RWG Technical Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 My only involvement was to send him a spare "H2" hour wheel I had in my spares bin... I didnt' do any of the watch work, just supplied a part. I thought I just put it in the mail last week, that was fast. Glad you got it so soon, and your watch looks...well...well used and old... RG
Sweattdogg Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 You need swap crystals with the guy who has the cracked crystal in the post below and you will be all set with the vintage look!! Looks cool. I'd like to see a shot of back as well.
eunomians Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 I really like the dial. Now go out and beat the shitt out of the case!!
Guest carlsbadrolex Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 About 7 years ago I was in the P.I and found a Hamilton military watch 1/2 buried in a jungle that looked VERY SIMILAR to that... Of course the movement was equally destroyed. You definately recreated what a watch would look like had it been buried in mud and dirt for many years! ALSO, the case was in about the same condition, and the remains of a NATO strap were still on it. YOU did very well!!!
ravishingrick Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Each to his/her own but I don't get what the beauty is of the artificially aged watches. Imo they seldom succeed in looking naturally aged, to me 99% of these aged PAM watches just look like new watches that have been tossed in the oven or blow torched, beaten the hell with metal objects, further %!##(!#%& up with a dremel and vomited on with aggressive chemicals, but everything but naturally aged. I seldom comment on watches I don't like but there is a first time for everything, as a watch lover this just does not compute to me? Please don't get offended, allot of members adore the results, but just not me...
FxrAndy Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Have you sent that dial to nanuq for finishing????????????????????????????
pitimany Posted August 1, 2007 Author Report Posted August 1, 2007 Thanks again The Zigmeister for the "H2" hour wheel. @Ravishingrick, you are entitled to your opinions and I respect them.
