Thanks for the responses so far. They are greatly appreciated. I shall post some pictures tonight comparing the box with my OEM K series box. Also with some comments why I have doubts about the authenticity. @Stephan: Could you let me know if the outer black box and the white foam foil between the outer black box and pearwood box came from a replica set or belonged to the "OEM box set".

Hi Guys, I purchased a gen Lumibor Base F-series a while ago (no box or papers). I am looking to purchase the same kind of box that it originally came with and as much of the missing bits and pieces. This so it will be a bit easier to sell if I ever decide to let it go. Could anyone inform me which box I need? The one with "Panerai 1860" or the one with just "Panerai" on the silver tag. Also like to know what other bits and pieces I am missing. I have. - The watch. - The buckle. - Both original straps. To my knowledge I am missing. - Box (type?). - Screwdriver. - Couple of booklets. - Garanty card. - Outer black box. - Outer cardboard box. Regards, RR.

Take a look at websitehttp://www.steinermaastricht.nl/ and go to "alle merken" and choose Panerai, they are offering a g-series 183 with DLC coating. This piece has been for sale for longer then a half year.

Old is gold. The old 28 appeal to me so much more the the new 28 and last years 26. Not liking the other new stuff at all, probably because I have never been a fan of the 1950 style cases and sandwich dials. But they do deserve credit for there achievements on the new inhouse movements they have produced and the creativity for creating all these new models.

Saving for one of these at the moment, this also is my watch of choice if I where to own only one watch.

It is more then obvious that they copied Panerai watches 1:1 minus the Panerai branding. Look at Napels Watches Marina Militare for example. Panerai won a similar case against watch maker RXW, that also produced a Marina Militare watch similar to the PAM 127 (1950). I think Napels watches where pushing there luck selling tons Panerai copy watches and parts on eBay, particularly being located in Europe.

In terms of accuracy this is not a good replication. Basically it is as good or bad as your average 30$ replica. To name a few obvious flaws, - Crown guard-> too large, funky looking lever. - Crown -> funky looking, very few teeth, crown rim very shallow. - Dial -> wrong power reserve spacing, pr scale tool large, numerals and hour indexes too large, lume should look like aged tritium (yellow) instead of luminova green. - Date -> white on black date instead of black on white. Her is a pic of the gen for comparison.

Would like to know where I can source an IWC CD 2006 caseset. The one with the lumed inner rotating bezel. Help would be much appreciated.
