  1. Lovely pieces guys. The new DSN dark tobacco dial is a major improvement compared to the first lighter brown version of the dial. For the first time I am tempted to get a rep 232. BTW: What is the quality of the DSN hands? Are the covered in small scratches or scratch free?
  2. For your information MBW has build a handfull of seconds at 12 AP ROO, based on ETA 2892-A2 movements with the dupraz module and Gen dials and hands. So IT IS POSSIBLE, just becuase you and the maltitude lack the resources and are not willing to make an effort to make a seconds at 12 franken possible, does not make it impossible. There are members that have initiated a franken AP ROO seconds at 12 project, this post was meant the few attempting the project.
  3. Great condition Gen AP ROO dial on the bay. click me
  4. Love the simplicity of the 232. The tobaco dial, closed caseback, and gold hands are the components that come to mind when thinking of a historic PAM, not to for get it being a base (has not only the 6 but the 9 too). The 249 simply does not sing to me. With the plexi glas on the 249 you shall have to baby the thing, PAM's are tool watches made to be worn not babied If it was not for the 47mm size that my wrists simply can not take, I would have gotten a gen 232 too.
  5. Looks to me like one off the best he has made to date, but the again I am a bit biased as a tobacco dial fan. Just hope his customers receive pieces that live up to the quality that the pics in his addy suggest. The minor font issue don't bother me at all.
  6. What modifications would have to be performed to use this crown on a manual wind PAM rep? The gen "crown tube" is way thicker then the rep "crown tube". See picture rep crown comparison with gen crown below. The standard rep "case tube" is built to take the small diameter rep "crown tube", per default the gen "crown tube" will not mate the the rep "case tube". To get them to mate, the rep "case tube" shall need to be drilled out to take the GEN crown tube, or you shall need to replace the "case tube" with a Jimmyzfu case case tube (his are made to gen specifications, but alas no longer available). Tip: Somebody pic this up, V is cooking up some very accurate H-series crown guards, Jimmy Case, Gen handwind crown, V H-series crown Guard... You do the math...
  7. Have the exact same one, this is a 100% gen PAM crown for handwind PAM's. Defiantly not the same as the gen auto crowns sold by the turkish eBay seller.
  8. Show us the movement in this piece! Betcha this piece has a gen movement.
  9. Not true The early Luminor Marina PAM reps that came out in 2005 (111G, 118G, 172) with square bridge movements with the stick on plates an recessed pin had genuine SWISS ETA 6497-1 movements in them. All 6497-2 movements with curved bridges in PAM reps are Chinese 6497-2 copy movements.
  10. This mod has been done by Rolli and his watchmaker... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=25266
  11. http://www.jacatu.de/wbb2/t7850-swedish-ve...nightclubs.html English cats, don't take this too seriously
  12. Thanks The Zigmeister/Q for the information. The replacement of the cannon pinion and seconds imho is the only way to go. Found a post from Ubi who carried out the cannon pin/seconds wheel mod himself... Love the results... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...48&hl=royal
  13. Hi, I would like to replace the cannon pinion and if needed the hour wheel on a AP RO rep. The standard cannon pinion the watch comes with has a central seconds pin, yet there is no seconds hand mounted. The Gen does not have a seconds function so I would like to replace this cannon pin with one without the seconds pin. Anyone know where I can find a cannon pin for the ETA 2824-2 without the seconds function or does anyone know the ETA part number? Regards, RR
  14. I visited New York last September and had a terrific time, seeing your pictures brings up allot of great memories but also makes miss New York tremendously. Thanks for the pictures.

Bet you its a Gen dial, the numerals and indexes seem to be reccessed. The rep painted 002/112 dials do not have this feauture.
  18. Never liked a single Azimuth watch, thought there previous creations where awful but this Wizard of Oz robot looking watch just takes the cake. Butt ugly in my books!
  19. Get the gen 64 T-Dial. The 64 is a stunning piece. With the new bread of contemporary PAM's coming out I guess the demand for the old style tool watch PAM shall continue to rise. The 64 is already a very liked and sought after watch under PAM collectors. Prices of the 64 shall certainly rise in the near future so if it starts to bore you, you are guarantied your money back plus very likely a neat bonus. A rep has basically no value outside of our community and i.m.o. shall always be second by a large distance to the gen. If you have surplus cash to spend get the gen...
  20. I read on risti that Panreai is out of tritium dials and hands. If you send you tritium based PAM for servicing and a tritium component needs replacement they shall replace the whole configuration with luminova parts without notice... If you send your tritium dial watch with a notice not to replace the hands and dial with luminova parts they shall not service your watch.
  21. That scans of the case V posted would make even the purest of Pam enthusiast think twice about there stance on homage/rep pieces... Bet you 90% of them would cave in on there morals and get the piece if they had the chance...
  22. Magnificent piece, please don't over do it with the nicking and bashing..
