  1. My thoughts exactly, to my knowledge there is no tapered (24mm->22mm) replica bracelet available only the non tapered (24mm -> 24mm). If there is a tapered replica version of the bracelet available please share some pictures with us...
  2. Modding the bracelet would be madness, please don't. OEM Panerai bracelets only fit Panerai's that originally came with a bracelet. The case these Panerai's is slightly different then the case of Panerai's that where made for straps. There is a workaround for this issue is the so called microadapter. Microadapters cost about 300$ and can be purchased at the p@neristi accesories corner and sometimes on ebay. I can not guaranty that the microadapters will fit your (rep) case but I think they are a better alternative then drilling the bracelet. Besides you could always mod the microdapter to fit your case and keep the bracelet pristine.
  3. Each to his/her own but I don't get what the beauty is of the artificially aged watches. Imo they seldom succeed in looking naturally aged, to me 99% of these aged PAM watches just look like new watches that have been tossed in the oven or blow torched, beaten the hell with metal objects, further %!##(!#%& up with a dremel and vomited on with aggressive chemicals, but everything but naturally aged. I seldom comment on watches I don't like but there is a first time for everything, as a watch lover this just does not compute to me? Please don't get offended, allot of members adore the results, but just not me...
  4. Personally I would get the following: 1. IWC Big Pilot 2007 2. Panerai Luminor Marina SS Base Tritium Dial or Panerai Luminor Marina Titanium Base Brown Dial 3. Patek Philippe Nautilus 4. AP Royal OAK
  5. One of the best relume jobs I have ever seen. Simply excellent... Being able to do the sandwich dials is one thing, being able to do the sausage dials reveals the true artist... PS: I shall be sending you my painted 112G dial soon for a vac-lume as soon as I receive it from a fellow member...
  6. But there once was a member that sourced a OEM PAM3 and PAM115 dial so there are some PAM dials on the market.
  7. Hi, I want to build a Franken PAM 112g with a gen dial. Anyone have an idea where a OEM Panerai black painted base dial could be sourced? Regards, RR.
  8. I can sell you my 50$ watch winder for 500$. PM me if you are interested.
  9. okay guys you got me, the jokes on me... buggers I made a mistake converting cm to inches, my wrists are 16cm... so that will be 6.3 inches wright...
  10. Interesting read, thanks. Enjoy you watch in great times and in the best of health!
  11. I have the "Costeau divers” 2006, and I love it. I have 6.3 inch wrists and the watch sits on my wrist as if it was tailor made for my wrists. I am used to 44mm watches because my daily beater for 2,5 years has been a 44mm PAM118. The "Costeau" is a quite a thick watch and as you state because the lugs tapper with a very natural angle from the rotating bezel the thickness is not obvious or is in any way negative to overall looks of the watch. I.mo. the thickness, 44mm case size, shape of the case, brushed steel finish give the watch character and masculinity. I think the case alone is a high tech modern design master piece. The blue dial with orange touches gives the watch character and and just the right amount of flamboyance without making it look overdone or too loud. Remember the "Aquatimer" is a sports/divers watch, not a dress watch so a touch of flamboyance is i.m.o. right for the watches theme. I saw the gen "Slevin" at my local A.D. and was not exited what so ever with the black and white dial, my first impression I got seeing the in "Slevin" in person was “dull, lacking character". The 42mm case size of the "Slevin" does make the watch look allot smaller, only 2mm but makes allot of difference optically... Seeing the two side by side confirmed me that I had made the right choice choosing the "Costeau" above the "Slevin". What ever choice you make, enjoy your watch & wear it well!
  12. Yep, yep, yep yep... Jimmy's crown guards are the bomb.... Feast you eyes on these pics.... purchased this second hand jimmy crown guard from V just after jimmy sold his last one.... I broke in to a panic thinking I would never get a another chance to get my hands on one of these master pieces... luckily V posted this one in the offers section and I snatched this of V's hands in like a nano second...It surprised me that several members had past this by, disapointed that it was second hand.... Anyway I and more the happy with this baby, looking for a gen crystal and gen dial to build a handsome franken Panerai painted dial base.... Good luck on your quest... Configuration: Jimmy case Jimmy CG Jimmy Bezel Palp Crown PS sorry but this baby is not for sale, not even for 500$
  13. Damn... ugly could be considered a compliment for this contraption from hell...
  14. What movement is used in the BP and Ingy PR. Is it an inhouse IWC movement or a generic movement with a power reserve module? If they make a accurate BP with correct date and PR indicator spacing they have a serious cash register buster....
  15. Wow I am not much of a Breitling fan but wow, this piece is amazing. Excellent work flavor_flav...
  16. Hi, Planning on building a Frankenstein PAM base using a Jimmyzfu case. Have a question regarding the crystal, does the standard rep crystal fit a Jimmyfzu PAM case? What are the other options crystal wise regarding the Jimmyfzu case. Does a gen crystal fit the Jimmyzfu case? Regards, RR
  17. Totally agree, what about the PAM190 8-Days gold hands Radiomir with the excellent Jaeger Le Coultre 8-Days hand wind P.R. movement, sammy dial... Simple clean & elegant Radiomir...
  18. One of the most beautiful watches on the board, rep or gen. I know its a shot in the darkness but If you ever contemplate on selling this watch please drop me a P.M. I will take if of your hands in a nanosecond... In the mean while, wear it well
  19. Nice collection you have! But why 4 Black Seals?
  20. 1058$ makes no sens, for 3250$ you can purchase a gen aquatimer chrono? The following link is a link to a used one, but I have seen brand new aquatimer chroho's going for 3.4k$ on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/IWC-AQUATIMER-TITANIUM...bayphotohosting
  21. Beautiful base, congradulations! I think the painted dial is so much nicer the the sandwich dial version. Also this 176G rep does not have the ugly croked and incorrectly positioned "L SWISS MADE L" on the dial. Thanks for posting this my just be my next purchase.
  22. Recieved my crowws today. I must honnestly say I am impressed. I have bought the 1st and 2nd run palp crowns, but these take the cake. These crowns blow the previous run crown away! The are excellently cut, very clean and have perfect bevel. Great work guys!
