iKst Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Im new here so hi to all first. Now to my question. Im buying my first replica and there is so much choice around that im naturaly a bit lost I decided i want Omega PO 42mm for my first (ever) watch, but i dont know what version to get. The one i found on a silix site suits me the most, but there are 2 version. One with normal ETA movement and one with nickle movement. What is the difference besides 25 USD ? Here are the watches im looking at: http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1501 http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1318 Are these good versions ? I read some reviews on so called 4th generation and ultimate PO and reviewers were impressed. But i would like to make sure i get the best version i can get.
rckh Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 Why not choose the "Ultimate PO" 45.5mm ETA Gold 2824-2? I don't know what different between GOLD & NICKLE 2836-2; But for myself I don't like Nickle.........It look cheap
Jetsons Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 No difference in the movement at all. Stick with the gold ETA and pocket the difference which will pay for the shipping.
Pugwash Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 Just for the SEARCH feature: We're talking about NICKEL movements, not nickle.
watchman12345 Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 In my personal experience the nickel is smoother to wind and set the date and has a "nicer" overall feel!
iKst Posted August 9, 2007 Author Report Posted August 9, 2007 Just for the SEARCH feature: We're talking about NICKEL movements, not nickle. Thanks. That explains why i didnt find anything useful
