Correct me if I'm wrong, but the DR is T39 domed and the GW is T39 flat. I'm doing my GW domed since it's a DR case back anyway. So it looks like I replaced the dial. Not my idea--got it from readings of the WIS here...

But a GWSD with Superdome makes absolutely no sense.

Nearly no sense, as RSC could have replaced a damaged red dial with a white one but kept the dome. Rare and unlikely? Sure, but not impossible. :D

Well looking at the price difference bewteen a super and a flat, that would have been a serious gift from a RSC :whistling:

If they take away your red dial and replace it with a white? That's a serious punishment!

Right Stephane, Flat one is a more modern crystal, it was produced by Rolex AFTER the Superdome, and it was introduced with the Great White. So - a DRSD, and also a SRSD should have a superdomed Tropic 39, whereas a GWSD should have a flat one. It is also okay for a DRSD to have a flat one, as those were later service replacements by Rolex - put on the DRSD. But a GWSD with Superdome makes absolutely no sense.

That's the answer I'm looking for
