JJFlash Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Its a beauty. However, still has the minute markers pointing the wrong direction!!! When are they goint to fix this blatant error?
the collector Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 That is the reason i am nt getting this watch.....yet
Richard Tracy Posted May 12, 2006 Author Report Posted May 12, 2006 Its a beauty. However, still has the minute markers pointing the wrong direction!!! When are they goint to fix this blatant error? Huh ? This is a new one for me... I just looked and still don't see what you mean....
woody Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 that plastic spacer is what bothers me more than the other flaws. It just seemed inexcusable......just my 2 cents.
Chronus Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I see Eddie's and now Jos' and get excited... then Woody reminds me of that plastic spacer problem
JJFlash Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Look at the minute markers around the outside of the dial. They should radiate outwards, not inwards. First the real deal, little hard to see this. Next Aspire hand wind model, note the correct minute markers. Last Aspire Swiss movement, note the incorrect inward minute markers.
trunk21 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Take a look at a photo of the genuine, and you will see that the longer "ticks" or minute markers extend toward the OUTSIDE of the dial. On the reps they extend toward the INSIDE. Toward the centre pin. Blatant, IMHO. Not a deal breaker for under $300, but for this kind of $, yes!!! Huh ? This is a new one for me... I just looked and still don't see what you mean....
trunk21 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 You beat me to it, JJ! Plus your post included photos. Shamed!!!!!
chris5264 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 The markers do not bother me, but I don't care for the plastic movement holder If it just had a decent holder, I would be selling a few watches for this one. Any idea where I could get a decent movement holder,,,perhaps this isn't a difficult fix.....
trunk21 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Check with The Zigmeister or RBJ. They will have the answers if anyone will... trunk21 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 That photo just made me completely lose my train of thought... I see Eddie's and now Jos' and get excited... then Woody reminds me of that plastic spacer problem
Richard Tracy Posted May 12, 2006 Author Report Posted May 12, 2006 Thanks Guys I see it now.... Though this price from Josh is very good ! I must applaud him for this offer... and I'm sure there are many that don't feel these issues are enough to stop them. I think I will be going for the Asian 7750 for now, and keep my fingers crossed...

Now to find a solution to the plastic spacer problem...
t1hs0n Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Nice price. The hour markers are a turn off though.
jimbo Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 i would definitely get one... but that white plastic piece on the inside is a dealbreaker on a $500+ watch. until that is fixed, i won't be getting one... when will the rep makers learn?
