FxrAndy Posted August 16, 2007 Report Share Posted August 16, 2007 In case any of the german or any one else for that matter, members are interested a local super market (Plus markt) near me is selling these vernier calipers for 9.99 euros, quality looks and feels good, if any one is interested let me know, i think it is only for the week and they only had 4 or 5 when i picked mine up, so if you want a set let me know. Picked it up here in Oz, @ about A$17.00, from a wholesaler, as a price comparison, so that is a pretty good price. Mine have worked faultessly for 12 months, although I don't think they get as near a severe workout as in general engineering! FWIW, we also bought a set for our engineering dept at work, and they failed after about 12 months HARD work. Still pretty good for Chinese product!
