georgegrasser
He sent me the same message. I did not understand the word "Armix". So he sent me the definition........ Correa of Steel. Pulsera of Steel. I still had no clue. So assuming he needed mod work I told him to contact Edge. Ptolomeo
"Armis" is a word used in spanish forums that means "bracelet"
Stephane
Oh, ok. Now I get it. George, I guess you made a bracelet review once ... Ok, well it seems we achieved what I was looking for: understand what Elias wants. I can't help him though as bracelets for vintage Rolies are incredibely expensive because there ain't no accurate rep, only genuine. Only one end link cost twice the price of an entire rep bracelet, at least. Please let him know that "my" best way to deal with this is get a rep riveted bracelet... From what I know, TTK can get these riveted bracelets. Genuine bracelets for vintage Rolies are somewhere between 500 and 900 $...depending on luck... Unless they know someone kind enough to sell one that they bought 25 years ago for a fraction of the price ! Cheers Stephane Seen on the web: 78360 bracelet with brand new 93150 fliplock clasp and 580 endlinks = $650USD 78360 bracelet with 580 endlinks (90% condition - minimal stretch) = $500USD
Victoria
He sent me the same message. I did not understand the word "Armix". So he sent me the definition........ Correa of Steel. Pulsera of Steel. I still had no clue. So assuming he needed mod work I told him to contact Edge. Good response. I offered my translation services shortly after I posted, and mentioned Scotty & Plaifender as other Hispanophones who could possibly help him out. Two Brits and an American. Gotta love it. Yes, he again said "armix" which I would never have understood, if not for his immediate clarification "correa de acero" (SS bracelet). Thanks Ptolomeo for that insight into the vocab of Spanish rep forums, too. I'm guessing Edge and he will have some problems comprehending each other, same as Stephane and he, so I will tell him what to write in clear English, so it doesn't go awry. If any of you have already "solved" this matter of finding the best, most authentic SS bracelets for his MBW watches, with Elias via PM, please post! I fear inundating his PM box... @Ptolomeo: There I go again! I made the same mistake with a German forum once. Are there any foreign-language rep-only forums?
