Ulich05
This is the origional fiddy strap that comes with the watch. I soaked it in bleach for 20 min and then used a brush to remove the coloring like others have. I threw it in the dryer for 40 min and then applied 2 coats of leather conditioner to it to soften it up. It now has a vintage distressed look that I like. Here's before and after:
faonmyea
that looks so good. kind of like a nice old baseball glove.
Highflyingclive
Good, for sure... but perhaps you have distresed it a little too much. Personally, I'd apply a very gentle layer of coloured wax (shoe polish So that it looks as if it had rich colour, back in the dim and distant past. But now, you need to distress the watch so that it looks as old as the strap.... are you brave enough? I doubt that I would be.
pubus
too bad it shrinked a bit, but looks good imo, distressing is a cool way to upgrade your strap, as you can control the level of it
erd04056
I like it. And it is light enough, that it will pick up the oils of your skin and age nicely.
V
I am trying to like the distressed straps but I am not that open minded.. I prefer to find a very old time-distressed leather an dcustom made one strap than do this. It looks a bit cheap and not natural... But it is DEFINATELY better for when it was new and crap.
