Ptolomeo Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Hi, I'm working now in three Rolex projects: a franken MBW1680, a franken MBW16610 and a modded Noobmariner. The first two are going to expert modders. But the last one is my personal project just for fun. So I need some information. What's the correct Super Luminova pigment for a modern submariner? C1, C3, a mix, another one...? How do I must give the lume? Do I have to remove the previous lume in the hands, dial and pearl? How? Thanks for your help. Un abrazo, Carlos

Un abrazo, Carlos Hello, i think it's C1 white Superluminova... You mustremove the old Lume from the markers, Hands.... For the pearl, a gen Insert is the best choice... Hope this helps...
Dizzy Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Yep The Zigmeister told me he uses C1 'bright white' for the 16610 and hes gunna be doing my MBW16610 franken soon LOnnie
Ptolomeo Posted September 26, 2007 Author Report Posted September 26, 2007 What about the new BG W9? It looks like similar to C1 but very brighter.
Ptolomeo Posted September 26, 2007 Author Report Posted September 26, 2007 You mustremove the old Lume from the markers, Hands.... But how? Some advice, please.
millemiglia Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 (edited) As a matter of fact I found all kinds of guides in this fantastic forum (how to swap movements, date-weels etc.)but absolutely nothing on Lume Edited September 26, 2007 by millemiglia
Tribal Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 You can pop of the old lume easily from the markers.... Take a smallscrewdriver to lift and pop opff the old Lume... That's it..... To apply the new Superlume on the markers is an other story...
Ptolomeo Posted September 27, 2007 Author Report Posted September 27, 2007 It's just for fun, Trib. For my "seriuos" projects, Vaccum'll do it, before sending the watch for modding Johel's the best "lumer"
