IWC: EYE-DOUBLE-YOU-SEE

So, just to add fuel to the flames, how do the french pronounce this brand, since in their alphabet, W is "double V"

I'm still unclear on the whole OMEEGA thing if its correct pronunciation or not. How could they pay tons of money for product placement in a bond film and not have it pronounced EXACTLY how they wanted?

Half of these words are french names or french words, so the only REAL way to pronounce them is with the french inflections or pronunciation:

Mont Blanc - Mon blahn - barely noticeable "n" at the end...no c or k sound. Like the "n" in Blonde.

Cartier - Carr teeay - 2 syllables ONLY

Patek Phillipe - Pa tech feeleep (ay at the end for the extra "e" is debatable)

Tourbillon - Tour bee ohn ( barely noticeable "n" at the end. NOT "on")

rehaut - ray oh

perlage - pear lage ( not "age" soft a. ahge)

Hublot - eww blow

Blancpain - blon pain (soft n)

PS Victoria, Deja vu is pronounced as it's written, ...no "e"s at the end...and of course, not day ja view haha ;)

ROTFLMAO!!!

Considering one of those was for my mum, I suspect, thanks for the Hoo-lops!!

Bvlgari.

When I read this, through our tears of laughter, my mother figured it out. She's a really un-PC lady who frequently calls our local Chinese restaurant to place a take-out order:

"2 rarge Flied lice wi' chrim, plea"

And by God if they don't have 2 large fried rice with shrimp waiting for her to pick up.

EDIT: Read this back to her, and she said I forgot the 'rarge'.

(Spare me if this shocks anyone. You think no one has ever made fun of her German accent. Lighten up people!)
