Will a gen bezel (bezel itself, not insert) fit ANY rep submariner, gmt?

I want to build a two tone (with real gold) rolex sport watch, either a sub or a gmt. I was wondering if any of the reps of these two watches will accept a gen bezel easily? or if mods are needed, how to make a gen bezel fit? Does not necessarily have to be a modern version but is preferred.

I don't think it's happened yet, although I remember seeing a King watch that maybe copied the Rolex bezel design 6 or 7 months ago. Haven't heard anything more about it since then. For the most part, rep sizes are slightly larger than a gen Rolex- crystal and dial are about 1mm larger. That's why we'd all love to see a 1:1 like Watchmaker9 boasts of, but it hasn't happened yet.
