Jawo Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 I have a Tag Link that is experiencing some problems with the chrono function. When it starts, it runs fine. When I reset it, the needle does not go back to 12. It is advanced forward. It keeps advancing forward everytime I start and stop it. Any ideas?
giorgio Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 Sounds like the hand is slipping. If that's the case, I think the only fix is to take it apart, remove the hand, and glue the hand to the hand tube.

Don't think you're discribing a slipping hand--when a second's hand is loose, it doesn't behave like that. Your problem is likely internal to the movement--but not a hard fix for a watchsmith. Still, as long as you just let the chrons run, as I do, it won't matter a bit.

Yes it does, this is a common problem with chronos. Simple fix as Giorgio said, take the second hand off and using a dab of epoxy itll be fixed, easy fix for any watch guy
