Reliable Dealers

I have been hunting around for a while now trying to find a replica dealer that will communicate well not to mention supply a good quality product.

There seems to be a great deal of tongue in cheek comment on this site about value amongst replica dealers. "You can get the same thing for $200 from so and so" Why would you pay $300 bucks for that piece of junk" etc. Yet I have struggled to find a dealer that will answer my questions, give me a reply to email without getting their nose out of joint, or insisting they have done what was expected. Very strange indeed! I thought most of these dealers would want return business but it just doesn't seem that way. Can anyone give me a heads up as to who might deal with some level of ethics and quality....maybe its too much to ask...I hope not. B

Wow, really? Have you dealt with Andrew, Joshua, TWP, Narikaa etc.? Because they will ALL answer your email questions patiently.

Davidsen, not too sure. Paul, he's at least polite in first emails. Ruby tends to be vague, which some attribute to her lack of English. Jay is nice, but delays in email replies.

Honestly, I have yet to do business with a reputable collector (even some I wouldn't return to), that doesn't patiently answer questions.

it may help "you" to do some research on the forum.. for that you may need to sign up to be a RWG "supporter" not that you will get more detailed answers.. but it will allow you to get to the areas with all the pertinent info.. ie. reviews etc. .. Ziggy.. By-Tor,.. Pug Wash..... and a host of others will guide you to what the best movements are and the Reps. that are replicated close to the genuine .. information is the key to good buying and also the key to asking questions..

remember you are dealing with technical mechanical movements.. not just plated bracelets.. although these are reps. they still are working movements ... some better than others and some just not worth the money... so what do YOU want to do.. ask questions without being armed with the "right' questions ? Or get to the heart of what you want to purchase?

you cannot expect the collectors to answer 'vague" questions as they do not have the time to 'educate' those that ask.. "what do you think of this rep."?

1.know the movement you are targeting ..

2.get some info on the genuine watch

3. read the collector reviews

4. try not to PM members about their reviews .. their reviews should speak for themselves.

5. you are buying reps. so don't "feel" like they should function .. "just like the genuine" ,.. although there are some very , very good reps out there ... that's why members interchange genuine parts.

Like your desk Top.. you are the one inputting the info so it can function properly.. this is the same with our collectors.. you Need to ask the right questions..SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK...

I could say the same about members that choose not to donate to the forum .. because without the donations the same members pony up every month so others can whine over what's not being done..

I do not mean to offend you .. but everyone is here to enjoy this Hobby .. so take advantage of the information here and you will find enjoyment in this community.

sincerely,

Lanikai
