llsteve80 Posted October 26, 2007 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 Hey guys, I've been searching around for a while, and I haven't seen any franken day-date projects. Whats the deal? Is it too hard to get the 2 discs to line up with the windows on the dial maybe? Any gen part for this watch is expensive compared to other models since they are all solid gold, but it does seem like a fun project. Having cancelled my frankenjust while it was 99% done I hesitate to start something else at a time like this but not having something to tinker with is really driving me nuts. Thinking back on the thread about the tudor sub, I'm wondering if maybe a good bet would be to buy a beat up, no band tudor day date, send the dial off for refinishing with rolex on it and buying a pres bracelet, but maybe thats too much. I suppose the hardest part using a gen dial and case would be getting the day window aligned and having the right size font as well.
