Difference between these two TT subs

So I've always kicked around the idea of getting a TT blue-face sub, but never pulled the trigger. Now thanks to Corgi posting that gorgeous pic of his TT blue sub, I'm starting to consider it more seriously. I hopped on Silixprime to see what they have in the way of TT blue subs, and I noticed they have two versions One has "triple wrapped 18K gold", and the other is "14K gold double plated". The price difference is negligible, but I was just curious if there is any REAL difference between the two platings and how they will hold up over time. This would be my first real venture in to the world of bling!

id buy the 14k version.. two reasons.. 14k plating will in theory last longer than 18k AND the 14k version is from the Noob factory.. very good replica.

Only a select few of them inspect. Narikaa is my most trusted dealer for this right now. But, I assume his access to the "14K as opposed to 18K reps" is limited, though I'm unsure. I dunno how he gets his... I assume he just browses the markets... and would you really trust a counterfeit goods shopkeeper working in some guangzhou streestcorner?
