Very prevalent recessed dials on gen. Looks like none on the Reps 2. The Font for "Panerai Luminor Daylight" may look light relative to the gen In addition it is most likely the second generation inferior (read cheaper) light case and overextended bezel combo which results in a lighter watch. Also as someone noted, no individual serial number Further: But: With elimination of all main hour numbers other than "12" the problem of weak number font on the original 188 goes away My conclusion: Very good for a first gen. Add the recessed dials, palp crown and Finepics datewheel and these look pretty damn good.
