arminvanbuuren
hi.. i just want to warn you guys if you're thinking of polishing your reps with polishing compound like brasso or anything on your reps that has double ar.. pls don't do it on the crystals or get any on it.. i was polishing my sfso with a metal polisher.. and by the time i washed it.. i realised that the outside coat of the AR on my steelfish is gone.. so now my sfso is only one sided AR'd.. so yeah just pls dont get any polishing compound on your crystal

Seadweller4000
Sorry to hear that, man. In my honest opinion, the AR coating on the reps (SFSO, BCE, CD... etc) is inferior to K2222's coatings. So I think it gets scratched (or removed) easier than a genuine coating... FxrAndy
But is does answer the question of how you remove AR lol
arminvanbuuren
lol so there u go it removes it for me.. to be honest not even with any effort.. so im guessing cape cod would remove it too..
freddy333
More importantly, ammonia (in many glass cleaners) will also remove AR.
archibald
But is does answer the question of how you remove AR lol Brasso works, but the very best way--like 15 seconds and it's gone--is red jewelers' polish, a felt wheel, and a dremel at the lowest speed. anton
I wouldn't be surprised if that only did it to the rep AR coatings. I've put Brasso, wiped Shino, and ran a dremel wheel (at high speeds!) over a Super Avenger and it's done nothing to the AR.
