Springbar size question

Looking for some info on some Rolex Springbars for vintage project.

Does anyone know the size of this springbar? rolex 23-9293 This would be for the 1016, Orange hand explorer. I believe it is 2mm. What would the lug holes size be?

Is it the same as a Sub springbar? 23-9291? That is 2mm with large lug hole

I've also got a datejust springbar. 23-9290 and that is 1.8mm and small lug hole

Is the 23-9293 a cross between the small datejust and submariner springbar?

I do not know exact the code,

but I know that 1680 and 1665 has 1.3 mm holes to acept 20mm Gen springbars.

I measured two sets of springbars.

for sub, 2mm with 1.8mm pin

dj, 1.79mm with .89mm pin.

I'm wondering what springbar size is for vintage explorer. different part number than either, so must be different size. I just want to make sure I have proper endlinks with bracelet and case.

I measured my Gen SUB springbars pin , it's 1.2mm.

the body is 2.00 mm.

The gen sub Case hole is 1.3mm .

Were do you get that 1.8mm pin??

oops. missed the 1 in my typing. It is 1.18mm. I got it from a Rolex dealer.

I guess I will just have to order a spring bar to find out, or check to see if my local dealer has any. I'm waiting on a 7836 with 258 endlinks. I think that is for 2mm springbar. I'm sure 1.8 will work, but may be loose. I would rather have it nice and tight. I wonder if I will have to drill the lugs to fit the 23-9293. That is my concern.

Hey Stilty,

They are the same size as a sub springbar with the exception of the lug hole pins-they are only about half as long as the sub spring bar pin. Check the illustration on the thumbnail below. These springbars are just as good as genuine ones and cheap too.
