Stephane Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Hi All, I've been searching but can't find a trustable answer for it. When did the lugholes disappear in Sea Dwellers ? What was the first serial without lugholes ? Anybody an idea ? Thanks in advance, Cheers Stephane EDIT: there were lugholes in 2003 (june) and it should be Y series but I'm not sure there wasn't before
docblackrock Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 F-series from 2005 onwards = no lug holes
Stephane Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 wow, thanks Doc. I was sure they disappeared long before... Cheers Stephane
Tribal Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 F-series from 2005 onwards = no lug holes F- Serie right, but since 2004 no Lug Holes
Stephane Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 I have a table with serials, like you all I guess... Jan 05-July 06 - D 000,001 Jan 04 - F 000,001 So, seems RepAustria might be right: 2003 last lugholes!
docblackrock Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 All I know is 'F-series' - obviously varies exactly what year you got one (bought or manufactured?) without holes, Tribal is right officially 2004 but not aware of earlier examples. Stephane, why do you ask anyway? Still on the desperate hunt for a 16600? Personally I prefer my SDs with lugholes.

Stephane Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 Ouch...hard time with these serials... Anybody could post a correct table here ?

Because I want to get myself a gen with LugHoles.... And out there (@ the "real collectors" sites) they post serials not years and not always side photos either.... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=59158&hl=
docblackrock Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Well if it's a 2004/5 model (i.e. advertised as F-series) you just need to ask seller the lughole question to be certain Earlier you're fine, 2005 onwards you know you not. Easy.

Gerhig Posted April 5, 2020 Report Posted April 5, 2020 I own a 2003 Y series and through research I found those are the first 16600 with no lug holes

I'm seeing the prices are right around $US7500 for a 2000-2004 model... does that sound about right?

If only I had kept all my gens I would have made some serious money...but then, as I'm the asshole I am, I preferred to spend the money on drinks back then. To answer your question, I have only one information: a friend of mine here bought a 16610 from 2000 with the "swiss" dial, the exact same as mine, for 7.000 € recently. I bought mine 3.100 in 2008 and sold it 3.750 in 2014 So my guess 7.500 USD is the correct market price these days. Good luck!
