a german in denmark
Wow, you still have LPs. Do you actually play them? I have about 2400 of them and a great turntable/tonearm/cartridge combo. Great idea for pics...

Yes and I was hoping the 2 pictures of rare LPs (I have more) would spark a General Discussion of some of the other things members collect in addition to watches (like LPs), but one of the quick-fingered moderators apparently decided the pictures trumped the conversation & moved my thread before I finished the text. freddy333
You really have the butcher shot LP ??? Yes, 2 of them (at one time, many years ago, I had a baker's dozen). But the other one is a much rarer (and better condition) Stereo version, which I keep in the bank.
Stephane
Congrats Freddy. It's been 35 years I dream of holding one for a couple of minutes I am a true Beatles fan but...sold all my vinyls back in the mid 80ies (stupid me). Cheers Stephane
freddy333
Stephane - So where were you when I sold the rest of them? But it is not just Beatle vinyls that are collectible. This (still sealed) CD is considerably rarer than any Butcher Cover vinyl Here is the story of this CD
Watchmeister
Who are the Beatles? Oh yeah the rock stars with great taste in women - Yoko Ono, Heather Mills...

a german in denmark
A collection worth a lot of money! And the condition of your collection? I have a lot of great LP's and 45's that i inherited from my father. All the records are in mint condition, no scratches, fingerprints and what have we. The covers show the age, though, I haven't got them in protective sleeves. The first one I bought in 1972: It's still very good music. When Janet Jackson used a sample from "The Cisco Kid" (first tune on that one) on her CD, I "rediscovered" War and was amazed how good these guys actually were. The collection (half of it stuffed away in boxes in the basement, I don't really have space in my music/movie room) is everything from Jazz (Jaco Pastorious, Stan Gets, Steve Khan, Michael Brecker, Niels Henning
AMK000
I love "It's A Beautiful Day" .... it shows our age though.
Pugwash
I just noticed this thread. Stereo Butcher Cover? That's $10,000 right there. The one in the pic is the Mono though, right?
Stephane
Pug: I think Freddy has both
