IWC Portoguese Info Req

Hi IWC-er,

I'm planning to buy one Portuguese with Asian 7750 automatic.

Rumors seed that this movement is a but unstable.

Do you know if can I replace with GEN 7750?

It's not possible to change with Swiss 7750 because Portuguese has running seconds at 6 o'clock.

Swiss 7750 has running seconds at 9 o'clock.

Please get me advice if buy Portuguese or not.

I would love to say yes,but everywhere I read people say it WILL fail sooner or later which is a shame as it is a watch that I love and just waiting for any news regarding the movement so that I can buy one....please, someone come up with a solution to this movement as I'm sure the guy who does it will have a LOT of business increase because I think there is a lot of people not buying this rep due to its movement prblms...

I have a working one and it has been for over a year, i do however follow the posts about the possible solution to the problems, if this continues to be sucsessfull then i might risk an INGY chrono too

I, too, want an IWC Portuguese, but I don't want a watch that's prone to failure. If this really works, I may pick one up. A little Graphite, some AR on the Crystal (maybe a date wheel swap) and I'd have a pretty sweet watch.
