Sending back a watch to dealer, for repair...

Dear all.

I've never sent back any faulty watches for repair.

What if my package is opened by the chinese customs and confiscated?

What should I expect from my dealer?

Any input?

All I can really say, is that I've never had any problems sending watches back to the dealer. I just wrapped them in the bubble-wrap they came in, put them in a cushioned envelope, and sent them via the regular mail. All arrived without problem. :)

Step #1 (as someone previously mentioned) is Ask the Dealer, but the main reason is to find out who they want you to use when shipping it back. There was an issue on RWI recently when someone sent a watch back but decided to take it upon himself to send it via FedEx. The dealer did not know (I think it was Angus), the member started a thread about "is Angus going to scam me, he says he did not get the watch", but apparently Angus needed to pick it up from the local office yet he had no idea it was there, you see the problem??

See which method the dealer wants you to use when shipping it back. I've shipped back to china 3 times without any problem using usps international priority mail, two of the occasions I sent multiple items back, I declare "broken appliance timer" on the customs form, lol..

Good luck! ;)

What?

I am not native English speaking.

Care to explain?

It's a figure of speach, refering to hypocricy :) Essentially, it applies to this scenario thus: It would be rather hypocritical of the Chinese Customs to have issue with a replica watch entering their country, as it was manufactured in their country. :)
