Pam 111 With Swan Neck

Hi, pretty new to Panerai, have searched this website and with this model Im thinking about pulling the trigger. Is the crown guard meant to be brushed on this model? Looks like the pin is pretty good, doesnt look too recessed? Are there any other things I should be aware of?

http://perfect-clones.com/product_info.php?products_id=783

Something about these Pams I'm really starting to like, and want my first one to be the most accurate.

Thanks in advance.

I think its still recessed, but I may be wrong, and Id like to be wrong, as Andrew is so trusty and worthy action dealer :)

And yes, 111h does have brushed CG, while the case is polished. Also as I know the H movement shouldnt be engraved. As its in Panerai latest catalogue presenting correct OP XI calibre.

Anyway new thicker crown, relume, new strap and your 111h is quite accurate :)

close, but two things still remain deficient:

1) engraving on caseback is not in the same font as the original

2) bridges are too "rough" and not like the more nicely polished original.

Correct.. if you have seen a genuine Panerai movement it look SO SO different than the rep one.

Even the new with the swan neck is still far from the genuine finish.

So if you compare it side by side with a genuine you can ALWAYS find out the rep by looking at the movement ;)

I like the H series better because of the sandwich dial. I do not know what are in these PAMs, I never liked them four months ago, now I have four, and another one on the way

"Still the recess Pin" I think you guys should start to accept that this will never be achieve out of rep factories.

All Pannies will have the Pin Recessed.. Why is it recess in the first place ? it is due to the 9.00 subdial needle, if needles are install flushed the clearance of the hour and minutes to clear the 9.00 sub sec hand is very little .. Even you modify it, it will work ok only for while.. I have tried this on my own and I think so have many others.

There is no way that it will be flushed. It involves precision parts to have it flush.. Every different dial surface requires different tolerance, Reps are using common universal parts...more fogiving parts. The recess pin is due to installation based on bigger tolerance values.

A very honest and sensilbe reply.

Honestly i wish we could get all reps dead on, but just take a moment to think back to even a year ago, and compare it to what we have now.

We've come a long, long way baby!
