onexchef
I can't belive it. I dropped my GMT and it knocked the lume off the 10:00 marker. What's worse now I can't set the gmt hand. The watch still runs but the movement definently has some damage to it. Man this was a good watch all modded and relumed by RBJ. I am so bummed out. Thats the knocked off marker at about 9:
TwoTone
Looks like the 11:00 o-clock hour to me Chef... I bet a local watch guy can handle both the lume and the movement issue... Short period of time and you'll be praising it's restoration... TT
ehtolcad
right it's the lume from the 11 o'clock marker which is currently resting approximately at 9. aint that a [censored] - i had the same thing(s) happen on two different watches. one was dropped and now is sitting in my watchbox as the movement is now in shake rattle and roll mode, while another had the marker knocked off in transit. i feel for ya my man. i guess misery loves company. ot: nice avatar michael. Davey
The mechanism that controlls the GMT hand is a retro fit some might call it a bodge something has probably come loose.
onexchef
Thanks for the support guys. RBJ Told me this should be an easy fix so I decided to have a look inside and the results were good. I was able to re-install the knocked off marker and set the gmt hand to follow 24 hour time. I still can't set the GMT hand independently, but I always used it like it's set now anyway. I'm going to watch it and see how it keeps time. And probably send it to Joe at a later date to check out the independent hand adjustment issue.
onexchef
Just an after thought. Do you think the movement will be damaged if I let it run right Now? Thanks.
