azgjav
hey guys, just received my 222 from EL, outstanding watch, i must say! case shape - chunky! the bezel is thicker than a historic model, similar to a daylight. it has the date button at 8'. case finish - impeccable! the brushed finish is amazing! nice and even. crystal - saphire, non ar-coated. 6mm cyclops over the date window. additional cyclops over the date window on the movement. crown - standard 2mm crown with 45 degree bevel..looks alright... movement - asian automatic. looks great, works great and feels great! dial - absolutely gorgeous! great lume on the hands and the round markers, not so great lume on the 12 and 6..but that doesn't bother me... case back - WOW! the engraving is nice and crisp. the finishing is brushed with a very nice lusture to it. overall - great watch for a reasonable price provided that the asian auto doesn't fail me..hey, at least i can say my watch has an inhouse movement!! the date button at 8 doesn't bother me cause it's integrated flawlessly into the case design. it's not as if there's a huge button sticking out of the case or a big gaping hole at the side of the case for u to insert a toothpick to change the date..who cares if the original doesn't have that button? there're 500 genuines and 20 reps, who will even bother?! the watch is thick and chunky, wears similar to a daylight/submersible but looks as classy as a 177.. photos: anyone wants a waffle? sevomd
Never had any problems with the Asian auto in keeping the time.. In fact the only movement I had a problem with on all my watches was a Swiss Unitas. I love this watch as well. The only two watches that have seen my wrist lately is the WM, 009 and the 222. This will probably change when I get my 195 and 201a back from David Sen. I forgot that it is winter time in the Southern Hemisphere. Eddy

azgjav
the date change button is function and the mag is, well, a lil too much for me... there's an additional magnifyer on the movement as well, so with the 6mm cyclops over it, the date appears to be a tad too magnified compared with the gen.. leitztozeiss
I must have missed this pic earlier. I like the extra large date magnification. I'd rather have that so it's usable. This watch is fantastic.
