hambone Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Thanks for the memories Lanikai, ever since I was a keiki, we had Sunday Brunch at the Halekulani, before it was rebuilt, and a few times after. Best Brunch in Waikiki on Sunday. Lunch at the Surf Room Buffet in the Royal Hawaiian was also a near daily occurance as Mom's art gallery was in the hotel. The "Chucks Cellar" on Lewers served the most ono teriyaki sirloin ever, as did the original in Kailua. Hoooo....Broke da mout.

Hoooo....Broke da mout. hahaha.. with competetion as stiff as it is.. that's saying a lot... give me any buffet.. but yes, the haledulani on sunday is special.. the homemede ice cream... ahhh.. the only reason I don't do it more often is .. too much of a good thing makes that good thing "ordinary".. and not special anymore.. ohhh yeah chucks Cellar's lobster tail... so ono.. remember your Mom's gallery now that you mention it.. the Royal will alway's be just that..
