Daneel
I'm very new to this so if I'm missing something you think is obvious and think I should know please point it out anyway! I just received this watch from Silix and it looks very nice. Unfortunately I can't adjust the bracelet as I can't get any of the pins out. I have a pin removal tool from Narikaa which pushes the pin part way out but I can't get it all the way. I've tugged as hard as I dare on it with a pair of pliars to no avail. Any suggestions? FxrAndy
I have the same tool from narikaa and i use it to get the pins started and then one with a longer thinner pin to push it all the way out, these straps from gen omega and the rep makers can be very hard to do, Once you have it started you may be able to tap it out with a sewing pin and small hammer, i have a small watch makers malet that used to use with a blunted but still round pin before i got the second tool, have a search about i posted a picture of the two tools i now use before. I was going to post the same plier tool for yu .. got mine on ebay .. turtle creations.. for about the same price.. it is the best .. took me 5 minutes to do the Omega speedmaster i just got. and they are great for the pins (like yours) with the tube inisde the bracelet.. i was able to order extra pin pushers.. u may want to inquire about that.. it's good to have the .08 mm pin pushers (extra) on hand..mine cost about 2.95 usd for the extra pushers.. u are going to love this tool make sure u use the right size pin pusher for the job.. the oversized one can get stuck.. so don't go with the same size pusher.. alway's remember to go pne size smaller than the hole
Daneel
Thanks lanikai. I emailed about that tool and it was suggested I'd be better off with the manual tool for the job, like this: http://www.tickintimeworldofwatchtools.co....-kit-1060-p.asp There's a full list of tools related to the task here: http://www.tickintimeworldofwatchtools.co....celets-84-c.asp Any suggestions which is best to get? I alway's wanted to get a block of wood and fashion something like the one that's in the pic.. but for the price I just may order something like that.. i would go for the wood block set . only because the other kits still need a craft hammer and if you don't have somthing like the wooden block .. that's an extra item to get.. looks like all you need really is the first kit with the wooden block.. that's a great price too.. Whatever you get it beats putting a pin through your finger..
