Bono's boner in Glasgow

Seems Scottish fans of U2 might not have the same reverence for them as they do in Ireland...

found this tidbit from a recent concert

Bono, lead singer of the rock band U2, is famous throughout

the entertainment industry for being more than just a little

self-righteous. At a recent U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, he asked

the audience for total quiet. Then, in the silence, he started to

slowly clap his hands, once every few seconds.

Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone,

"Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."

A voice with a broad Scottish accent from the front of the crowd

pierced the quiet:

"Well, foockin' stop doin it then, ya evil bastard!"

:D

Aye.....wha's like us.....damn few.....and they're aw deid.......!

At the King's Theatre in Glasgow......Sir Donald Wolfitt....a very respected Shakespearean actor...on a whistle-stop tour of the UK ...performing 3x of the bard's plays......was doing the curtain call after performing Hamlet.....he announced to the audience in a great booming voice with classic enunciation..........'tomorrow evening we shall be performing the Scottish play ( MacBeth )......with myself of course in the lead role......and with my dear wife playing the role of Lady MacBeth......"

A voice cracked the silence....."your wife is a w h o r e ".........!

"Nevertheless Sir,...she shall play the part of Lady MacBeth........!

Brilliance.....!
