POTR
Now that appears to be an interesting version of a Modified Gen Commemorative... The dial is good, the hands are bad, the CG are too fat... can't see if there are lug holes or not... and The caseback engraving is WRONG and lower quality than the Modified Gen Commemorative that I have seen. On the example I have seen, the General Chuck Yeager and The Real McCoy's (the company that did the commemorative modifications) is engraved on the bevel of the caseback, with a single 5-pointed star separating them on each side, Chuck Yeager engraved across the middle with a representation of TWO of the planes he flew, one above and the X-1 below. AFAIK, these mods were done in 96 to GMT's with lugholes. So, maybe this sinking company has released a new "Anniversary" commemorative with only the X-1, and the quality has slipped a bit. Or maybe, it's a really good Rep, with half assed mods to re-create a really obscure watch.

bruce79
Judging by the 501B endlinks, the lug holes have to be there. No other way to get to the spring bars. No idea if it's real or not, I would say yeah though...why not.

Fidestro
They are all fakes, Chuck Yeager is a pilot and is shown wearing a Rolex. We all know from advertising that all pilots MUST wear Breitlings. Once a pilot is promoted to astronaut then they are moved to Omega.
