rastapopolos
Any wis that can school me on the Rolex/Tudors with the california dials that are flooding ebay? Yeah, i know the double labeling is bogus and that tudor never made a twotone like that, but what are the dial origins, is it just a completely fake dial or a heavily repainted and rebranded tudor dial, and what about the case / movement, do they use geniune tudor eta's or some rebranded asian clone, are the cases/casebacks genuine rolex/tudor or is it alltogehter just made with "aftermarket" parts? Even knowing it's a fantasy watch I kinda like the look of it, nice casesize for us that prefer midsize and has a really cool vintage feel to it.. for reference Edited January 27, 2008 by rastapopolos
Raijor
Re-dials and maybe frankens. There have been many incarnations of Tudors. Buy what you like but do not pay too much. This a replica forum so re-dials and frankens fit right in. Welcome to the forum and try out the search function. There are loads of threads that can offer much useful information
freddy333
I have never seen any of those dials or any other Rolex or Tudor watch that contained both names on the dial. However, when it comes to Rolex, as I have learned many times, never say never. I would expect that you would get a similar response on timezone, but someone there may be able to give you a more authoritative & final answer. predfan2001
Yeah I've wondered about those also. I figured they are just redialed old Tudors but there is always many listed. I don't think people could get their hands on that many old Tudors. Smells fishy to me
mikellem
Actually the Tudors are still available and sold used thru Chinese dealers. I know a friend who use to buy they 6 to 12 pcs. at a time. He paid about $250 to $275 shipped to USA. Then he would send out and redial and new hands which costed him about $100 to $125 and minor servicing if necessary.. -MM

predfan2001
I had to do some digging, but this is the one I like. A Tudor Jumbo with a racecar dial. (ever notice racecar spelled backwards still spells racecar? )
