macht030
I just bought a watch off the trade section here ("noobmariner" lv). The seller claimed that there were no flaws with the watch and even had a picture showing lum on all the markers. The watched arrived today, NO LUM at 9 o'clock. Well, first question, where can I get lum put on this thing 2nd question. Is this at all normal? Is a watch considered "not flawed" when it has no lum at 9 o'clock? macht030
Link & Pics? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=64449 I've contacted the seller and he said he'll refund me the $ upon return. Other than the lum, the watch looks great. I thought I'd just refund the $ for the lum job. What do you guys think? How difficult is a lum job? How $? POTR
Are you saying the indice is missing at 9, or are you saying that it just doesn't glow?
macht030
Are you saying the indice is missing at 9, or are you saying that it just doesn't glow? The indice is there, only unlike all other indices which have white-ish lum on them, 9 o'clock is just a silver indice with no white lum stuff on it. Guest carlsbadrolex
Well, it cant just disappear... I have had markers fall off before and they always rattle around inside the the case between the dial and crystal. I have even had them get stuck in the hands and scratch the dial. What you are talking about is just an applied "sticker" and unless the seller opened the watch for some reason it HAS to be there. In which case, opening it up and putting it back isnt a big deal. If in fact it is gone, then the only solution I could see is having the entire thing re-lumed.

I didn't see anything inside the case at all. So the only other solution is to have it re-lumed, hence my original query in this thread. How and where do I get it re-lumed and how much does it usually cost?

w.genzo
Ask The Zigmeister if you want to re-lume the dial. Or buy a new dial, it's about 20$
