JWR Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 I just got one of these in a 222, i assume it is the same movement in the 090 (date quick chagne button at 8 oclock on the case) It is changing the date at 9 pm instead of midnight. Any idea if this is common? Fixable?
robertk Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 Just figure your new day starts a little earlier.
JWR Posted June 16, 2006 Author Report Posted June 16, 2006 hah... the thing is, it's not like a 7750 where it's random... it's at the crack of 9 pm, instant...
GhostfaceZX Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 hah... the thing is, it's not like a 7750 where it's random... it's at the crack of 9 pm, instant... Just sounds like you need to realign the hour hand
ubiquitous Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 Easy fix... Uncase the movement, and set the movement in a movement holder. Reinsert the stem, and roll the time over to 9:00 (or whenever the date transition takes place). Remove the minute and hour hands, and reseat them at 12:00. The date will now snap over at midnight. Recase, and you're done.
JWR Posted June 16, 2006 Author Report Posted June 16, 2006 thanks ubi! I assume it has to be fully wound down.... so it'll be a while... it's impossible to get this sucker off my wrist!
GhostfaceZX Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 thanks ubi! I assume it has to be fully wound down.... so it'll be a while... it's impossible to get this sucker off my wrist! It doesn't if it has a hack mechanism. You only need to wind the movement down to work on the internals...
