hambone
This car is about the coolest design I have seen. It is either all electric or a hybrid that gets 300 MPG. Cost is 29,500, and they are taking orders with a 500. deposit. It goes from 0-60 in 10 seconds and tops out at 90 MPH. Shundi
Jeeze, if that thing was flying down the street towards me I'd probably get the "deer in the headlights" look. Crazy car!

Guest avitt
Cool, but I think I'll go for the Fisker Karma: ...It's a plug-in hybrid, which gives you 50 miles before it burns any fuel...perfect for my commuting habits. Plus, it's quick, at <6 sec. 0-60...And the company is just up the street from me, in Lake Forest.

Guest avitt
What is the price tag on the Fisker Avitt? Unfortunately, $80k. Planned availability is late 2009. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/14/detroit...rowd-impresses/ I'm sure the technology will find it's way into more affordable models as well... eunomians
Interestingly (or not interestingly), I know the Aptera folks and Mr. Fiskar. Not important, but facts nonetheless. The Aptera designer is working on a 2nd model that is more like a car. ***Hint: Aptera will be driving "green" actors too/from the Oscars--one at a time
milsub5517
Actually, i've read that Aptera borrowed cage design from F-1. should be pretty safe. Better do not crash with this one -.- What a sexy PHAT ASS: Cant you tell im an ass man ? here is sexy butt close up Edited February 16, 2008 by mil_sub
hambone
Fxr Andy, It is not a concept car it will be in full production by October 08. They are for sale now. It requires a motorycle license as it is a 3 wheel vehicle. The body is fiberglass, as is the Chevrolet Corvette. You don't not want to crash in any car, to be sure, and one like this is less safe than having steel around you, but probabably safer than a motorcycle. Not reccomended for pussies.
