smithdj10
My watch arrived today. A white face Breitling Navitmer Asian 7750 3-6-9 layout. First impression - AWESOME! Looks the part, feels the part - I'm very pleased. So, I now want to take good care of it. I'm sure I've seen on RWG links to guides on how to use the chrono functions (I'm aware that over usage can bring the lifetime of the watch down). Any links to this guide - I can't find it? Also, should I wind the watch fully as ASAP? Any help / advice is appreciated. Many thanks
Emmzy
Don't set the date between 10 and 2 Top button starts the chrono, always use this button again to stop it before resetting with bottom button. Just a couple of light turns of the crown to get it started, a few swirls to move the rotor and then wear it to auto wind. Congrats on your taste......IMO the best looking watch that exists. Here's mine..... Edited March 20, 2008 by Emmzy
smithdj10
Thanks for quick reply. I'm getting a black leather strap like you have also. In fact I've also ordered a brown one as well from Mac who does the BOBs. Another question regarding the date. How do you set it? So don't set the date when the time is between 10am and 2pm, or 10pm and 2am? Why, what happens?
musicale
Another question regarding the date. How do you set it? You can set the date by pulling the crown out one position. Pulling it out further will set the time. So don't set the date when the time is between 10am and 2pm, or 10pm and 2am? Why, what happens? The time to avoid is between 10pm and 2am as that is the period when the date changes over, and you could damage the date-change mechanism. To be safe, set the watch to 6 o'clock before setting the date.

Daedalus
Well, I also bought a Navitimer, so I will share my pics Decided to go with a different color. The blacks and whites are great, but I already have a beautiful black and white Movado, and needed something with gold.

Corgi
I have one too... they are such clever watches. Because of all the numbers, when people see me wearing it, they think I'm some kind of mathematician!
