Rolex/Tudor/ETA Question

OK, now I'll have an empty 5500 case. Would an eta mvt fit this case? I found a Tudor Explorer dial/hands set that would look great in the case. I figure that the 5500 case, tudor Explorer dial/hands, and an ETA mvt will make for a COOL Franken. What's you opinion?

An eta 2846 would work for you. (slow beat movement) It should be an easy alignment with the tube. All you need to do is remove the day/date bits, swap out the set bridge to 2 position. You can use a set bridge from a 2801-2. And if you are really handy, you can install a stop lever from a 2836-2 and the movement will hack.

You will also need a movement holder to secure the smaller diameter ETA in the Rolex case. PM me if you want. I may be able to help you out with a holder. I have a couple of Tudor style brass movement holders that should work for you.

I'm no expert but I think that you'd better get yourself a gen rolex 1560 movement and a rep explorer dial!
