If $340 is really the price (and not a misprint), then they are WAY, WAY off. HALF of that would be a fair price. If you look hard enough, you could probably find a used gen for $550.

Also, I have the 2006/2007 PD catalog. After looking at some of the large print images in the catalog, I'm not so sure the inner bezel on the gen really has two slopes. It may just be an illusion in the photos. That would make the rep pretty much spot on.

Now, if only they could come to their senses on the price...

The whole quartz thing aside, the design of this watch just doesn't really do anything for me like the Flat-6 watch does. At least the Flat 6 has a unique face design that makes it much more attractive to the eye in my opinion.

I wonder if this uses the timebomb Daytona S@6 movement or if its a reworked version.

If it is the latter, then we can expect a reliable Daytona to be released any day now.

I emailed josh the other day about a new seconds @ six black MOP daytona he has on his website and I asked him if this movement was reliable. His response was "This is the Asia 7750 21600bph movt.. So far i do not have much problems with this maker's products.."

I am going to order one of these just because I really love the dial, even though I still have two daytona paper weights.

I find it interesting that in Trusty's pics, only the red version has the correct "two tiered" insert.
