hyster Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Messing about with my camera tonight I took these, Funny, when I first joined I said I would never buy one, now I could not see myself not owning one.
iceberg1459 Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Very nice photos! What camera and lens/objective do you use for macro shots? Btw fiddy is an awesome watch really,i wish i could wear it but too big for my 6-6,5' inch wrist
TeeJay Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Awesome photos and strap combo I said the same thing when I first joined, and, to tell the truth, felt the first 127 I owned was a bit to big, but now, I rarely wear anything else, and have come to think of it truly as 'my watch', rather than a 'daily beater'
hyster Posted March 30, 2008 Author Report Posted March 30, 2008 Very nice photos! What camera and lens/objective do you use for macro shots? Btw fiddy is an awesome watch really,i wish i could wear it but too big for my 6-6,5' inch wrist Thanks, The pic were taken with a Canon 400d, the lens was a Tamron 70-300 Di. As for objective, I have no idea what that means sorry, I'm just learning how to use it. I think they are awesome too, have you thought about a mini fiddy? You might get away with that.
iceberg1459 Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 objective , sry i translated directly from german, it should be lens. As you said, its MINI fiddy, fiddy is fiddy cuz its BIG. Maybe ill get 1950 flyback, its 44mm, it also has its own "niceness" which also appeals me just like fiddy. (bubble glass yeah)
DemonSlayer Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Personally I would wear a fiddy even with a 6-6.5 inch wrist. My left wrist size is 6.5 inches and my right is 6.75, I've ordered one
doc savage Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 To be honest, Victoria pulls it off better than some of the "Daddy's watch" wristshots guys have posted--you expect a female to have a slim wrist but on a male it's like wearing a suit 4 sizes too big. Clownish.
DemonSlayer Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 I've also noticed someone with a fine woman wearing a pam as their sig. HikeUSA I think it is Some women can certainly pull of Panerai, and most mens watches in my opinion.
capice Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 looking great m8, i have my first fiddy for a month now, and I still think it is too big so I'm training my wrist to increase in size wear it well
turboGUATE Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Hyster: It's a wonderfull piece, it belongs in my top 3. Enjoy it! Iceberg: I have a 6.5" wrist and just love the damn thing. Tip: give it a try, and if it doesn't work you can easily trade it or sell it back. Cheers!
DemonSlayer Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Go for whatever watch you like! I don't let big watches put me off, if I like them, I will get them. Right now I'm feeling some of the Breitlings, and I'm going to purchase one or two models, they're big watches, but I'm not going to let that put me off. Fiddy's, PAMs in general, Breitlings, these were intentionally designed to be LARGE watches! Do you think an 8+ inch wrist is common? Even if you strapped a fiddy on a 8 inch wrist, its still going to have an awesome presence.
