Tribal Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 Hello Folks, a time a go, i posted some Pics of my old MBW 16610. I have done some work on it since the last post. For your remember. I changed the movement because it was broken, the datewheel were changed with one with open 6 and 9, to become an old fashion Sub. I drilled out the lugholes and made some work on the CG`s That was the last stand... Today i installed a gen tube and crown.... I must drill the hole in the case because the Diameter was 2,5mm... To small for a gen Tube... I drilled out the casehole up to 2,8 mm,after that i retapped the hole with a 3mm x 0,25mm tap. And that's the result... I think looks good.... I hope you like it.... Tribal Posted June 21, 2006 Author Report Posted June 21, 2006 looks good, real good. should 6 & 9 be open or closed? Thanks, yes on a oldstyle sub 6 and 9 are open... Rg Tribal
silvio Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Looks very good Tribal. I love the work on the crownguard. Did you thin the lugs out? I mean the old sub usually has those thick lugs which doesn't dissapear under the bezel (to the crownguard), while yours looks perfect. I assume you modded them? Thanks for sharing.
Tribal Posted June 25, 2006 Author Report Posted June 25, 2006 (edited) Thanks for your kind words.. Yes i reshaped the whole case to become the right dimensons... The Lugs also the Cg`s whre reshaped and polished... Rg Tribal Edited June 25, 2006 by Tribal
