Dear All,

I got an EoD from Angus today....when I tried to set the time and date the stem and crown came out of the movement....unfortunately it was only half of the stem...the rest was inside the asian 7750 in thze normal winding position!

I managed to get the broken stem out, canibalized one of my older watches to get a 7750 stem and tried to get the stem/crown back in....pressing the release button and push it back in...but it does not work, I feel a pressure against the stem when pushing in....can it be that the movement was in the winding position when the stem came out???

Please help.....

thx guys, much appreciated,

Thorsten

im not an expert by any means but have you tried turning the stem slowly and carefully as you put is back in? When i remove a stem its always in the winding position so i dont think thats the problem

Yes I have replacement stems.

It sounds to me like the clutch gear is out of position and causing your problem. Because the clutch gear also moves the hacking lever, if the clutch gear gets out of place, the hacking lever can get jammed between the clutch gear and cause the problem you have...
