Is than an Ultimate BCE Evolution *UBCE*?

I got this picture and I don't think it's an ultimate BCE due to the fact that the "2" goes straight down and doesn't square out like the 'revised' bce with the updated datefont.

Opinions welcome.

It's an Ultimate, has the little marker after the 10 on the top subdial and double AR

Yup, that's an ultimate.

All the new UBCEs come with the weird skinny date font. Has nothing to do with the watch itself.

It is an ultimate and there is indeed 2 different datefonts out there now....i have seen many with both...

Talked with Ruby about this DFont as the pic of one she sent me came straight down and didn't curve... she said this is the only one available now... is this right? - no one else has the curved, serifed Dfont wheels from the factory?

I am putting in a lello datewheel anyway so this doesn't bother me. It's just the way the two looked threw me off... Regardless of how it looks it's still very noticeably wrong compared to the gen - so whats the difference?

Are you kidding? You already gave the answer to your own question. The font is different.

In regards to the entire watch there are only 2 noticeable flaws. The subdial printing is grey instead of silver on the gen (silver refelects more light and changes in appearance depending on how the light hits it) and the red 'Automatic' writing on the dial is too bright red. There are some other minor anomolies like the rider tab engraving, pearl, bracelet's endlinks and engravements but you need to do a side by side comparison to notice them. Overal it's one of the best reps available at the moment!

My initial question was that the font was a noticeable difference on these photographs which threw a curveball at me. Without obviously holding the watch I wanted to make sure it did have all the features of a v2, verses the v1. The datefont pictures is different than many of the ultimate's I have seen (for example, see recent post by the gentlemen who purchased the watch from Dylan). Also see the photos of the datefont in the BCE Guide.

Just confused me. .. But now that someone told me there are two different fontstyles for the same ultimate watch - that would lead me to conclude there is a v1, v2, v3 or v2.0 v2.1 .. Or maybe I am overanalyzing.

It also depends on your dealer which type of watch you get.... Old batches.... different straps... what the hell
