Can someone tell me what the issue with the Cousteau datewheels?

I know this is a question which should be in the newbie corner, but I have searched and all I can find it how to change them and people saying you should change them.

Someone put me out of my misery....why?

I have a CD on the way and wondered what the issues are.

I think it is just due to the date font. If you put Swiss ETA datewheels in there, the font is squarer as per the genuine.
