I tend to do things "Sinatra style" ... I do it my way. Put them in place with tweezers, then use the ink refill from an old BIC ballpoint pen and press the hand down onto its post.

Easy-squeasy.

I use the "piece of tape under the hand" method, and find it excellent ( gives you a much more steady base to work with) Hour and minute hands invariably can be pretty strait forward, and a pair of tweezers will suffice, but sometimes second hands can be fair bastards, and I am still struggling with a chrono hand on a Sector!

Gee, there is some good info @ PMWF! Hadn't viewed that "how to" before.

I encourage all "apprentice" watchsmiths to spend some time there!

Pity they are not fans of "reps" We two forums are a match made in heaven, although some of our "friends" frown at our existence!

Thank you all that replied. I wound up using a sticky not to place the hands onto the movement and pushed it on with the refill from a ball point pen.
