Hi all,

i just wish to know if it's always possibile or if it depends on case, movement holder ...whatever else..

Are movement sizes the same?

Thanks

Depends. There are different aspects that one needs to keep in mind.

- Chrono lay out

- Date

- old/ new Asian 7750

The 12-9-6 lay out with only date (no day) OLD Asian 7750 is an one on one copy from the ETA 7750 (easy swap). The NEW Asian 7750 has some differences with date gears/ wheel and thickness of sec. hand.

For example:

The Asian 7750 in the Breitling Chrono Avenger can easily be swapped with an ETA 7750....

You do have to be careful that you can swap out the Asian datewheel (if it is the better font) with the ETA one. You can end up being stuck with the standard ETA font. This is not an issue with the date "between 4 and 5" as the mechanism and datewheel remains intact but maybe when it is at 9 o'clock. :)

The only sub dial layout of a 7750 is the 12-9-6 configuration. If the subdials are in a tri-compax layout, then it's technically a 7753 copy (despite what the dealers call it).

Thanks guys i was talking about new 7750 movement with 12-9-6 layout...however seems there are too many variables like gears and data wheel.

I hoped it was simpler.
