Thinking about buying a PVD B&R 46mm

I would thoroughly recommend waiting for the 46mm PVD to come out with the hex screws in the back (may have already come out)

Then i'd get either the white or orange version. I have the orange which I love, but its a matter of taste.

It is seriously worth getting this watch lumed properly and also if you have the budget some double AR - it works great on the flat crystal.

Once this is done you have a watch that is very very close to the original.

PM sent to you also - check your mail

You mean black dial with white numbers and markers?

I think the new ones have the hex screws, check this link out:

Is there anyone who does lume AND AR?

Okay...I cant decide between White, Orange or Blue. (I am only going to wear it after work, so no dress clothes will be worn)

What is the difference between the "BR 01-092" and "BR 01-92 Limited Ed 1:1" that both Joshua and Andrew sell?

And where can I find the nylon strap??

The blue and orange ones are limited and say limited edition on the dial, the white one does not. You wont be dissapointed with either of those colours, I have a blue 46mm and wear it on a 6.5" wrist. Its not a problem and you should not give notice to people who say its to big, It's supposed to be big!

I have a small wrist, but I love huge watches. I have a few 50mm Invicta's, a 49mm Bentley and Super Avenger, and a 47mm Big Pilot. So I LOVE big watches.

I will end up buying a 42mm later on down the road, but my first B&R is going to be the 46mm for sure.

I cant decide which color!! I like them all, I kinda want something to stand out, which is why I want a blue one.

Where can I find a B&R nylon strap?

Angus sells rep canvas straps as well. They won't be half as good as Carl's at Gasgasbones, but they come with the rep buckle.

I'd go for orange over blue. Black and blue doesn't work in my opinion. Orange and black is a classic combination.

If you go for an instrument, you HAVE to buy a 01 / 46 mm and not a 03 / 42 mm.

They are indeed intended to be huge... That is the whole purpose of those watch.

I have both the blue and orange chrono, and I must say that at the begining I was not completly sold by the blue one...

But it is now my favorite !

Orange and black mix nice but they are a bit "deja vue" ;-)

Go for the 46 mm blue one, you won't regret it.

It is a watch that catch a lot of attention, even from people that don't know "S....." about watch.

What about he 39 mm. Did BR ever make one of these? I can't find it anywhere else besides the rep sites.

Well, I am no Bell & Ross specialist but I have their 2008 (huge) catalog with me and there are no 39 mm instrument watch to be seen...

Well I found a nice PVD with white markings with good AR and superlume on WRI I am going to buy. I really wanted a blue or orange, but I cant pass up this deal. I will buy an orange or blue sometime in the future (possibly trade the one I am getting for it).

I really like the Carbon Fiber dial, but like I said I cannot pass up this deal.

If you are a pilot I agree with this, but otherwise the 42mm is just fine. In my opinion the Ajoesmith 03-92 is the best ever rep B&R produced. I'm lucky enough to own one and it get plenty of attention on my wrists even though it is the smaller size. Either way the best way would be to buy both!

You probably are right and it is anyway a matter of taste ;)

I am biased because I am only into "miltary" and "dive" watches, and anything below 44 mm looks tiny to me !

B&R rules ! they are the most original watches produced in a long time... They are still are my favorite.

I got my 46mm B&R few week`s ago.

Some pic`s:

It is not like 1:1 comapred with gen. Far from that, it has a CF dial and blue numers but no "special edition" writings and CF dial was available only for black case, not for steel. But I kind of like this watch. Nice looking watch.

Sul, your watch looks great... But it has never been produced as a gen.

(at least, it is not in the 2008 catalog)

Yes I know it is fantasy watch, but for my it is ok, 99% does not know that. At least in my country B)

I just love that CF dial. ;)

If I can find 46mm B&R Phantom ( all black), then I will buy that probably and sell this with CF dial

here is my 46mm on my small wrist:

This is exactly how my 46mm looks on my wrist. I don't think 46's look bad on a small wrist, they just make more of a statement as they standout.

BTW 39mm B&R's are fantasy models. Can't remember who stated that above. Just to clarify.

Just to point out. It seems that even the latest has some problem with the Bell@Ross lettering on the dial. The @ should be centered just below the 2 of "12" marker. It is too far left in the rep. This screams rep in your face. Too obvious a flaw.

I know i'm being pedantic but I can't help myself ;) . If you look at the Bell & Ross website the '&' is not centred just below the 2 of 12, it is slightly to the right. While I agree that the rep is not exact the difference is less than half a millimetre from the gen. I'm not sure it screams rep - unless your job is putting them together at the B&R factory.
